Top Three Skills: mechanic, repair, truck�� Job Description: �� Looking for Technicians at any level! They just need SOME exp working on "Big Rig" trucks.

...As long as they have a great attitude, willing to learn/train, and want a career with a great company.

Constantly providing additional training to their Mechanics.


Top Level candidates should be able to do most of these:
��� Inspect parts, components, and systems to determine operational discrepancies. (Diagnose the problems)
��� Identify the problem and cause of failure through troubleshooting steps.
��� Repair or replace parts as required within the defined expectations of the task.
��� Identify and Maintain vehicle records and Warranty repairs by documenting services

Demonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of:
��� Engines: Power train to include differentials, transmissions, clutches and drive shafts.
��� Electrical systems including starters and alternators
��� HVAC systems
��� Steering systems
��� Turbos
��� Fan clutches
��� Injectors
��� Cooling system
��� Brake system��
Work Environment: �� This is a large Diesel Truck Dealership. 60% of the work that is done in the shop is warranty work. They also do some Fleet Services. 38��Diesel Technicians total...on 2 shifts. Mostly Mack, Volvo, and Cummins engines.
They pride themselves on being a FAMILY environment, where everyone will be treated with respect, and work together as 1 unit. It is a fast paced environment.��
Qualifications: �� Prefer at least 2 years of experience as a diesel technician. They prefer exp on Volvo, Cummins, or Mack engines...but they are open to experience on any other brand.
Must use all safety equipment necessary for the job
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

High School Diploma or GED

Looking for for people with Foresight, Drive, and Enthusiasm. Attitude goes a long way.

Must have their own tools.

Decent job tenure...NO JOB HOPPING!��
Performance Expectations: �� Good team player and ability to work with others in a team environment.
Must be able to work under pressure, in fast paced environment.

They have a great training program where the individuals will have a direct mentor to be hands on with their training for the first month or so.

Performance metrics - Position will be evaluated based upon efficiency, aka need to at least be at 90%��
Interview Information: �� Will interview with the Service Manager�� and the Operations Manager. May also interview with 1 or 2 if the Sr. Technicians. Additional Compensation: �� 2 - 2nd shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm

$18-$24+ (possibly up to $26/hr)...Depending on their experience, certifications, etc.

Additional Information: �� Looking for help with experienced Diesel Techs. However, they are also looking for entry level techs with great attitudes that they can train.

IF YOU HAVE ANY CANDIDATES THAT HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH "NATURAL GAS" ENGINES, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. "COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS" (CNG). THEY HAVE AN ADDITIONAL 4 SPOTS OPEN FOR NATURAL GAS TECHNICIANS.

Typical day on the job - mechanics will come in and they will be given a job order and which includes the needs for that job (i.e. - full engine repair, brakes, electrical work, diagnostics, etc) In the down time mechanics will be required to run preventative maintenance on the trucks in the dealership.

1st day requirements - will be meeting the team and learning their business model and process of job orders, showing safety protocol, etc
Best versus average - best employee has experience with full engine repair and certification on Mack, Volvo, and Cummins. average has only 1 of these��
