ARE YOU READY FOR A CHALLENGE? PADT is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative for its Simulation Sales Group. The Inside Sales Representative will identify new, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities (through tele-based activities), including identifying leads, progressing leads through the pipeline, and providing sales qualified leads to outside sales account managers by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

  • Collaborate with marketing and account managers to build a qualified pipeline of customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, card deck leads, aged leads, dealer resellers, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources
  • Identify target markets, develop leads and directly prospect into those accounts
  • Make outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services
  • Handle inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales
  • Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers
  • Build and maintain customers relationships
  • Transition qualified opportunities to the appropriate account manager as appropriate
  • Manage a database of leads in Salesforce.com, efficiently processing all opportunities, tracking, reporting and maintaining them until they are established in the sales pipeline to include, entering new customer data such as stakeholders, technical requirements, business processes and other sales data for all customers
  • Work with outside account managers and marketing to keep sales activities and literature up to date
  • Drive additional revenue opportunities by applying incremental programs or projects initiated by sales management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Sales/Marketing or similar
  • One to three years prior (quota carrying) sales experience
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, selling and closing new business opportunities
  • A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota
  • Previous business development or lead generation experience
  • Previous experience making outbound sales calls
  • Previous account management experience
  • Ability to accurately forecast and report on territory/account activity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a structured sales environment
  • Salesforce.com experience preferred
  • Previous experience selling technology solutions to engineering space preferred
  • Formalized sales training preferred
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered
