Job DescriptionThe Specialty Service Team Member performs all functions related to processing (preparation) and merchandising in the Specialty department and maintains a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer Service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provide excellent customer service and address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner. Follow all Whole Foods Market (WFM) guidelines for meeting customer needs. 2. Maintain sampling program. 3. Work a variety of shifts. 4. Responsible for proper signage placement. 5. Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating and stocking product, merchandising and end caps. 6. Check product to ensure it meets WFM quality standards. 7. Understand and perform as directed all opening, mid, and closing duties. 8. Read and stay informed daily on communication from regional or store leadership. 9. Capable of accessing information about market conditions and able to communicate to customers. 10. Use courteous and proper etiquette when answering the phones and pages. 11. Understand spoilage and supply waste and how it affects department expenses. 12. Make sure temp logs, sweep logs and sanitation logs are completed. 13. Comply with all Health and Safety Codes. 14. Attend all team and store meetings as assigned by Team or Store Leadership. 15. Perform other duties as assigned by Team or Store Leadership.
