Job Summary: Teach children aged 6 weeks through 12 years in an early learning center environment. Will work to foster a team approach to develop a quality educational child care program. Will maintain all Federal, State and local regulations for childcare programs. Pay based on education and experience. Team lead positions available for those with a 2 or 3 year degree. Childcare Responsibilities* Supervise and monitor children at all times* Maintain staff/child ratios at all times* Read, understand and implement all requirements as indicated by the WOW curriculum book* Develop and utilize lesson plans in alignment with WOW philosophy* Create opportunities for individualization in classrooms that reflect the unique needs and strengths of all students* Establish, post and follow a consistent schedule in alignment with WOW philosophy* Facilitate positive interaction between children. Model positive social skills. Give children frequent positive feedback* Meet with administrative staff to set and progress towards teaching goals * Maintain accurate records (attendance, student progress, etc) as outlined by WOW curriculum book* Meet regularly with parents and other staff regarding each child's status and progress* Conduct all screenings and evaluations as outlined by WOW curriculum book* Maintain high standard of confidentiality* Complete classroom lesson plans and paperwork in a timely manner* Inform the Executive Director of any special needs or problems of individual childrenAdditional Responsibilities* Attending staff meetings, workshops, conferences and in-service training, special events and committee meetings* Follow all work policies and procedures as outlined in Employee and Parent Handbooks* Consistently follow work hours and deliver services as assigned* Keep classroom, school areas, and employee areas clean, neat and orderly* Accepts temporary work assignments as assigned* All other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements* High school diploma or GED* In compliance with State and Federal Background check requirements* Must have a current drivers license * Must have good driving record* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs* Must be able to spend significant periods of time on feet* Job requires bending, lifting, sitting on the floor
