Description
For VSP/Fresh Cuts: New department for Georgetown Plant. INTERNAL ONLY.
Current Associates must meet minimum requirements for transfer as follows:
- be in current position for at least six months
- have two or less occurences
- no active disciplinary actions
To perform assigned tasks at a specified rate ensuring a safe and productive work environment. Must follow required rotation schedule as described by management.
Responsibilities
#1 Make sure to follow Perdue safety policies and procedures.
#2 Must be able to work constantly for durations of 4 hours up to a normal work day of 8 to 14 hours.
#3 Work in temperatures consistently between 40 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit with ambient humidity, noise levels between 71.4 and 93.9
DB and light intensity of 100 foot candles.
#4 Be able to work with nominal exposure to the chemicals listed in the MSDS log.
#5 Be able to lift weight ranging from 1 to 80 pounds using proper lifting procedures and carry that weight a distance of 50 feet.
#6 Be able to work in various positions, angles and twisted degrees for short periods of time.
#7 Be able to grasp and handle hand tools, equipment handles product trays / cases and parts.
Required Education
High school diploma or GED preferred. Reading and analytical skills required.
Required Qualifications
The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:
Work in a plant environment in temperatures between 40 and 50 degrees fahrenheit with ambient humidity, noise levels between 71.4 and 93.9 DB. Ability to lift totes to a height of 78 in. and ability to push up to 400 pounds. (See attached form). Exposure to CO2 vapors below 10 ppm. Exposure to Methyl Ethyl Ketome, methyl Alcohol, kylene methyl 150 Butyl Ketome and CO2 vapors below 10 ppm. All floor surfaces dry and cold.
