Description
MUST HAVE PROVEN EXPERIENCE AS A SHORT ORDER GRILL COOK TO BE CONSIDERED.
Essential Job Functions
- Provides friendly and helpful customer service
- Sets up/Breaks down the grill station
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work station
- Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment and utensils
- Responsible for using the correct portions when cutting and serving items
- Performs all other tasks as directed by the manager
Qualifications
Requires good interpersonal skills. Works in a team environment and interacts with customers.
- Minimum 1 year experience in the food service industry.
- Must be able to operate and clean a grill station.
- Must be able to safely operate a meat slicer and properly use a knife.
- Must be able to read and follow recipes.
- Must be able to understand and follow directions from the Manager.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Review the day’s menu and determine required production needs.
- Prepare daily menu selections according to assigned venue and recipes.
- Prepare venue station for service period to include service and merchandizing plan.
- Attend “pre-service” meeting.
- Prepare and serve “to order” guest menu selections during service period.
- Maintain and replenish “self serve” service points.
- Secure venue service point at end of service period. Wrap, label, date and properly store all food ingredients in accordance to safe food handling techniques, practices and guidelines.
- Complete food requisition, production and temperature log forms. Submit forms to Production Lead.
- Clean and sanitize all work and service areas and equipment.
- Review next day’s menu and coordinate product status requirements for production.
- Confirm with Lead Cook prior to departure, production and day end closing requirements.

- Measure, cut, portion or otherwise work on materials with great precision.
- Use arithmetic to: figure amounts of product needed and portions to be followed.
- Picture what the finished product will look like.
- Accept responsibility for the accuracy of the work as produced.
- Communicate menu, ingredient and preparation methods.

- Lifting 50lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
