Housekeeping:

POSITION SUMMARY
Clean and supply all daily assigned rooms and report all damage, mechanical deficiencies, suspicious activities or theft in accordance with all housekeeping procedures and standards and safety and security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Clean guest rooms as assigned and help where needed, stock with appropriate supplies in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations. To include but not limited to:

  • Removal of trash from rooms and taking out to dumpster.

  • Changing bed linens and making the bed.

  • Changing out towels with fresh towels.

  • Cleaning entire bathroom.

  • Vacuuming, Sweeping and dusting guest room.

  • Cleaning the windows, mirrors, coffee machines

  • Disinfecting all room furniture and bathrooms.

• Retrieve, stock, restock and store the housekeeping cart according to prescribed housekeeping, safety and security procedures and regulations.

• Receive assigned section keys, supplies and any priority room requests from the Executive Housekeeper. Turn in keys and unused supplies at end of shift.

• Respond to guest requests and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.

• Report any missing articles, damage or mechanical problems to the Senior Housekeeper and turn in articles left in room.

• Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities and provide assistance when needed.

• Report incidents of guest dissatisfaction or unusual matters of significance to manager / supervisor so that corrective measures may be taken.

• Comply with policies and procedures. Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures.

• Miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Part-Time. Availability for varied day shifts. Weekend availability required.

• Experience in hotel housekeeping or similar role preferred.

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.

• Friendly and reliable with experience or strong interest in cleaning

• Excellent attention to detail.

  • Must have the ability to clean rooms in allocated time frame

  • 20 minutes for stay overs and 25 minutes for checkouts.

  • Ability to be on your feet for entire shift, lift upto 50lbs, bend, extend, and kneeing.

  • Ability to meet standards of appearance.

  • Can communicate well with guests.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

• Must be available to work 8 am to completions of room assignments.

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

• Firm and simple grasping is required in all aspects of work.

• Bending and/or stooping is required during your shift.

• Standing and walking is required on a continuous basis; sitting is limited to short breaks.

• Reaching is required and may be combined with other activities such as pushing, pulling and bending in all phases of work; overhead, crouching and kneeling are requirements.

• Crouching and kneeing

• Lifting of supplies occurs occasionally up to 50 pounds.

• Climbing of stairs is required.
