HHA / PCA

Job Summary: An individual who is energetic, compassionate, kind and loves to take care of people. This individual is competent to perform functions of personal care to residents.

Qualifications:

1. Must complete competence training

2. Ability to carry a direction (reading & writing)

3. Have a positive attitude towards the care of the individual 

4. Must have the ability to effectively communicate to residents and family

5. Must have a valid driver's license. 

Responsibilities: 

1. Assist residents with medication administration

2. Assist with preparation of meals

3. Assist residents with ADLs (shower, baths, oral/hair/skin care) and undressing

4. Assist residents with exercises 

5. Assist residents in making appointments 

6. Document and report any changes in residents' physical condition, behavior or appearance to supervisor or nurse manager.

7. Documenting services delivered according to service plan and assisted living policies and procedure.
