Job Description
Full and part time positions available. Experience working in a veterinary hospital is preferred, but we are willing to train the right motivated candidate.
We are a growing hospital and are looking to expand our team with intelligent and motivated individuals. Qualities we are looking for include a friendly, positive attitude, dedication, maturity, willingness to learn, exceptional communication skills, computer proficiency and the ability to stay calm and composed under stress. We are looking for team members that can provide exceptional customer service. Our front desk staff members are typically the first and last contact our clients have with the clinic. This makes your position essential to the success of our practice! You must have a pleasant demeanor and phone etiquette and enjoy working and talking with people. This job entails not only general veterinary receptionist duties, but dealing with the public on a daily basis. Receptionist will also be providing a high level of client education, so knowledge of and ability to respond to general veterinary questions is important. It is essential to be able to speak knowledgeably to clients about responsible animal ownership as well as surgical procedures, vaccine protocols, other protocols and animal education issues. We will train intensively if needed - we want you to grow with us.
At all times, this position requires the receptionist to provide quality service to clients, patients and staff and to represent our hospital in a courteous and professional manner. It is crucial to be able to maintain a positive and constructive attitude.
We are a close knit team and are looking for the right individuals to join our family.
We strive to be flexible with scheduling our staff and we expect the same curtesy in return. Availability for Saturdays and some evenings is essential.
Please provide references with you application. We are particularly interested in references from prior employers and/or supervisors. We may contact your references before we contact you.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
