Washroom Maintenance Worker 6:00AM - 2:30PM

Job Title: Washroom and Corridor Cleaner (ENTRY LEVEL - NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)

Job Description: The Washroom and Corridor Cleaner performs the cleaning of Manufacturing washroom, hallways, and barrels used in the production process.

Hours: 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday to Saturday (may vary based on business needs)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning all emptied drums (barrels)
• Sweeping and moping all corridors.
• Using safety signage as required (i.e. wet floor signs)
• Collecting all trash from the designated areas and replacing trash liners.
• Discarding trash in the compactors located in the rear of the building(s).
• Using a floor scrubber on all corridors and rooms on a daily basis.
• Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, face shields, shoe covers, hair nets, gloves, etc. as required.
• Maintaining an organized, clean, and stocked supply area.
• Communicating any issues or concerns.
• Working individually with minimal supervision.
• Notifying manufacturing supervisors and/or workers of any occupational hazards immediately.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred,
• Ability to understand work instructions in English and/or Spanish.
• Basic understanding of cleaning supplies and usage.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work additional hours as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to use all cleaning supplies provided by the Company.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 Lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull or move drums and cleaning supplies.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Contracted Hourly Professional

Work Location: Central Islip, NY AND/OR Hauppauge, NY

Reports to: LISC Operations Manager
