Wok Station/ Head Chef

JOB SCOPE

Perform functions to plan, manage, and control Back of House (BoH) restaurant operations, ensuring maximization of revenues and minimizing of costs, making decisions controlled by precedent and within limits of established policies.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure food quality and presentation standards are met for all dishes leaving the kitchen
  • Be an expert in all BoH roles, and support the team by filling in wherever needed
  • Manage all BoH employees, ensuring completion of required activities and adherence to all applicable policies and procedures
  • Manage procurement, receiving, and storage of all raw ingredients, dry goods, and prepared foods in compliance with applicable policies and procedures
  • Screen, interview, and recommend hiring of candidates for all BOH positions
  • Ensure all onboarding activities for new BoH hires are successfully executed
  • Support the training of BoH employees
  • Perform probationary performance evaluations for new BoH hires after 90 days
  • Perform semi-annual performance evaluations in January and July for all standard employees
  • Achieve goals for Inventory Turns, Food Costs, and BoH Direct Labor Costs, and other metrics as assigned
  • Produce a weekly BoH work schedule on time and in a way that provides adequate guest service while meeting stated goals for BoH labor costs
  • Identify root causes of Safety Incidents, Safety Concerns, and Guest Incidents and execute corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Host daily team huddles to promote company valves and to discuss issues, concerns, and successes from the latest shift
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting ideas from the team for improvements, by contributing your own ideas, screening ideas for implementation, and assigning responsibility for completion of related projects.

 

Work 5 days or 7 Days a week with 1 hour and half break through the day.

Pay Wok/Head Chef

$150.00 daily salary after 90 days depending on the performance will increase.

 

 

Appetizers Station: Cook needed to prepare appetizers, soups and curries. If you are ambitious and would like to learn even more Thai cuisine then that opportunity is available as well.

Serve/ food runner:

Full description

We are looking for a Food Runner to join our team and facilitate collaboration between our kitchen and wait staff. Food Runner responsibilities include setting tables, serving food orders and removing used dishes and utensils. If you’d like to gain experience in the restaurant industry and learn how to provide an excellent dining experience, we’d like to meet you. To be considered for this role you should be available to work various shifts, including weekends. Ultimately, you will ensure our guests have a high-quality dining experience by serving their food in a timely and accurate manner. Responsibilities • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately • Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff • Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies) • Assist the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins • Serve welcome drinks and hors d’oeuvres, upon guests’ arrival • Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature) • Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed • Remove dirty dishes and utensils • Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items • Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check) • Make sure families with young children get kids menus and special silverware sets Skills • Experience as a Food Expeditor or similar entry-level role in a restaurant • Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules • Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends • Multi-tasking abilities • Good oral communication skills • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment • Degree in hospitality or restaurant management is a plus Job

$6.98 base pay plus TIPS.
