As a Electrician Lead/Foreman, you would be responsible for running a crew of up to 8 electricians, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. Additionally, you would be responsible for conducting tests and inspections of electrical systems and equipment and troubleshooting in a variety of work areas while paying close attention to all aspects of safety.
Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills are important for journeyman to identify electrical issues and proceed with prompt repairs. Working in a team setting and completing objectives within a given time frame is a must.
Efficient conduit bending skills using mechanical, electrical or hydraulic benders, and other conduit bending methods, are necessary. Other tasks may include analyzing circuits to determine functionality, changing switches and generators, using multi testers, and fixing A/C and D/C systems.
Essential Functions and responsibilities:
- Set and maintain project schedule, 3-week look ahead schedule and daily documents
- Maintain active inventory of supplies and equipment
- Responsible for communicating with management and the client
- Train and mentor apprentices on the crew
- Manage the project schedule by completing tasks in a efficient and timely manner
- Assure compliance with state & local codes
- Assuring the company equipment and materials are used properly
Experience Desired:
- This position requires a minimum of (8) Years of experience through on the job training or successful completion of an Electrical Apprentice Program
- Must have minimum of (5) years of experience in commercial electrical work
- Ability to read, understand and execute the project scope through blueprints and/or schematics
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to perform all aspects of the electrical project duties and tasks; conduit bending, wire pulling, threading and wire terminations
- Must be able to supply your own hand tools and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10 Certified or willing to get within first 60 days
- Must have proficient Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer skills
