We have a contractor opening for a Mobile Head Lice Technician.

About Lice Troopers:
Lice Troopers is dedicated to safely and effectively removing head lice in a clean salon environment as well as offering house call services and school screenings. Our family run business is looking for candidates who like to work with kids, is a team player and has a strong work ethic.We treat mostly elementary school children and their moms for head lice. Our clients are supportive and appreciative of the job we perform.

Job description:
As a lice care technician, complete the nitpicking treatment for any affected household members, and educate them all about the Lice Troopers treatment process. Your duties will include: Arriving at your assigned destination punctually, professionally and with the appropriate supplies. Providing head-checks and nitpicking. Educating families on lice removal and follow-up treatment. Selling Lice Troopers lice removal products, when appropriate. Providing patients with informational literature.

Candidate requirements:
Candidates must be comfortable with the concept and job of nitpicking. Calm, friendly, professional demeanor. Getting head lice can be an emotionally trying experience. Oftentimes, parents will be stressed out; it will be up to you to put them at ease. Adaptable. Qualified candidates will have the ability to work in a variety of environments with people of all walks of life, including children, parents, and business professionals.

Exceptional attention to detail:
Our lice technicians are expected to remove all lice and nits on the first treatment. A treatment is done when no lice and eggs are found after combing the hair for long periods of time.

Communication:
Cell phone with both WhatsApp and text message capabilities. All scheduling and communications will be communicated via message. Strong communication skills are a must. In addition to providing head checks, we aim to educate clients to successfully complete the follow-up treatment plan and prevent further head lice infestations.

Transportation:
Reliable transportation and car insurance. Most clients schedule treatments at our lice treatment centers. However, we also offer house calls and require technicians to travel if a house call is scheduled. Working GPS and sound navigational abilities. It will be up to you to promptly locate your assigned destination. Must have a current Drivers Licenses. The position REQUIRES you to travel to families’ homes and treat them for head lice.

Punctuality:
Punctuality is a must. Our clients are often stressed and worried; the sooner you solve their problem, the sooner you become their hero. Clients expect us to attend to their appointment at our centers or at their homes on time.

Prior experience:
Strong preference for someone who has done professional head lice treatment previously.
Prior healthcare, lice removal, or hair care is preferred.

Basic sales skills:
Along with completing lice removal treatments, you'll be expected to sell lice prevention products and our lice free membership plans to patients.

Other Requirements:
Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time and MUST have Good Eye Sight (in order to be able to find small nits in the hair).

Training:
We will train our new techs to ensure they are able to properly treat our clients for head lice as well as sterilize equipment, answer client questions, prepare treatment invoices and collect payments.

Background Checks
We have to perform a criminal background check, so if there is anything we might find out please tell us ahead of time.

Schedule:
Monday to Saturday
Weekends required
