Quality Manager - Plastics Injection Molding

As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet or exceed industry standards for quality, safety, and reliability, and work closely with the customer base to understand their quality requirements.

This position plans, organizes, directs and controls the total quality management function of the company, including ensuring the development, implementation and maintenance of all quality systems (QMS); the necessary techniques, methods and procedures; creation of quality plans;
performance of internal audits; managing customer complaints; managing customer audits and certifications; managing customer satisfaction; managing the quality department.

SKILLS :

·        An organized and analytical individual with business acumen to serve as Quality Manager.

·        This individual should have technical ability, be familiar in procedure writing, and have a positive attitude.

• Highly skilled in Quality tools e.g. FMEA, Risk Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis. Ability to read and write in English.
• Experience and demonstrated advanced proficiency in Process Validation (IQ, OQ, PQ, PPAP)
• Ability to work cross-functionally and as part of a project team

·        A good decision maker and blameless problem solver, he or she should be a good communicator/listener who is confident, but not arrogant.

·        Outwardly calm, but not afraid to address conflict, this individual is able to delegate and take responsibility while maintaining a "we" not "I" mentality.

·        This flexible but consistent individual has integrity, attention to detail, and is able to prioritize.

·        Must have hands on Experience with ISO 13485 – AS 9100 is a plus

·        MUST HAVE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE – Plastics Injection Molding experience is a plus
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

·        Manage and improve QMS (oversee internal audits, write specifications and procedures, host the 3rd party auditor)

·        Maintain Quality forms from each department, cross check/ verify as per requirements and train for improvement as needed

·        Be part of First article inspection and documentation as well as ongoing detailed inspection plan/reports

·        Address customer complaints (understand, investigate root cause, implement corrective action, ensure customer satisfaction)

·        Understand visual quality requirements and determine product compliance

·        Anticipate potential production problems before they occur

·        Manage and analyze data (RMA database, charts)

·        Update and Maintain all the manufacturing data on Manufacturing standard books as well as on an ERP system.

·        Train employees and / or operators for new project / job quality requirements
