CRNA - Brockton, MA

Steward Medical Group is currently seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join our growing team at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA.

The CRNA will function as part of an anesthesia care team approach to the preparation of patients for anesthesia, its administration, and  post-operative care for adults and children in a stimulating clinical setting. Case types include: Orthopedics, Spine, General, Trauma, Vascular, Thoracic, ENT/Oral, GYN/GU, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, Endoscopy, and Ambulatory Surgery. Minimal Obstetrics and minimal, same-day Pediatrics. NO cardiac or neurosurgery.

Sign-on bonus, loan repayment, a newly increased compensation model and full benefits package are offered. Salaries from $195K - $225K plus based on experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Care for patients before, during and after a medical procedure or surgery
• Perform point-of-care testing
• Select, order and administer pre-anesthetic medications
• Provide acute pain management services
• Utilize anesthetic techniques such as ultrasound, arterial line insertion/monitoring, subarachnoid block administration, peripheral nerve block management, epidural management, and other technologies to improve diagnosis and care delivery and improve patient safety and comfort
• Select, prescribe and administer post-anesthesia medications or treatments
• Evaluate patients post-surgical and post-anesthesia responses

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Must have a high standard for patient safety as well as a strong understanding of medication management and physiologic responses
• Ability to make sound judgements of analytical, physical and manual dexterity functions of a patient
• Ability to work harmoniously in a collaborative environment
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE/TECHNICAL/OTHER:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an accredited school of nurse anesthesia
• New graduates are encouraged to apply, student loan repayment available
• 2-3 years of experience as a CRNA preferred but new graduates will be considered
• NBCRNA Certification required
• Current Massachusetts RN/CRNA licenses required
• BLS required, ACLS/PALS preferred
