Position Overview:

The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager, Sales Support and will be responsible for supporting the sales team by performing on-site shoe fittings. The candidate must be professional, reliable, flexible, as well as possess a positive attitude and excellent customer service skill set. The candidate will travel across the country and represent Shoes For Crews to new and existing customers by providing an outstanding store experience on-site at their location.

  • Ambitious attitude to drive 80% participation and to deliver 100+ pairs per event
  • Understands and utilizes basic selling skills to properly engage and present solutions to customers
  • Possesses a complete working knowledge of products and services to help customers select the right products for their safety needs
  • Coordinate all details of each fitting with sales operation manager. Note few examples below:
  • Pre fitting Event
    • Schedule travel arrangements once fitting is assigned (Book one way at least)
      • Set up pelican cases and make sure only approved styles are shipped to fitting
    • During fitting Event
      • Drive participation and keep team informed with mid-day updates via email
    • Posy fitting Event
    • Maintains details of customer inquiries, complaints, and comments
    • Refers unresolved customer concerns to managers for further investigation
    • Submits orders, expense reports after fittings and reconcile statements
  • Non-travel time, if any, supports other departments including, but not limited to, Customer Service by placing orders or handling customer service issues, Business Development by making outbound calls for new customer onboarding, SFC Stores by providing sales support, or any other duties as assigned by the department manager

Requirements:

  • Ability to work a full-time schedule with varying shifts and hours including evenings and weekends, domestic travel could be up to 90%
  • Highly dependable and committed; meets or beats deadlines
  • Must have high integrity, and have a strong work ethic
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships and generate in-person sales
  • Keep cool under stressful situations or challenges with On-Site events
  • Practices attentive and active listening skills
  • Past business travel experience a plus
  • Able to manage time effectively and efficiently
  • Be flexible if workload requires and able to adapt to change
  • Ability to work independently
  • Learns on the fly; experiments and will try anything to find solutions; quickly grasps the essence and the underlying structure of anything and
  • Enjoys the challenge of an unfamiliar task and analyzes both failures and success for clues to Improvement
  • Proven customer service skills, and outbound calling experience a plus
  • Maintains lists and schedules to ensure details are not overlooked
  • Able to manage tasks in compliance with company policies and operating procedures
  • Writes down important details so the details are not lost or forgotten
  • Current valid driver's license with a safe/clean driving record
  • Access to personal credit card a plus (for expenses if corporate Amex is not accepted; company will reimburse approved expenses with valid receipts)
  • Problem-solving skills; looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answers

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum 2 years retail store or shoe sales experience preferred or previous sales/marketing experience
  • 1-3+ years retail store or shoe sales experience preferred
  • Driven to meet goals and generate results
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships and generate sales in person
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation
  • Successful presentation and public speaking skills
  • Accurate and professional written and verbal communication, Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, bend, squat, walk, stand, frequently and for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift at least 50-100 pounds without any restrictions (Assistance if available)
