Job Description

Job Summary: Assists dentist during examination and treatment of patients

Job Accountability:

Prepares patient for examination and treatment procedures
Sterilizes instruments, disinfects treatment areas
Records medical and dental history of patient
Takes digital radiographs
Takes dental impressions, pours models
Instructs patients on appropriate oral hygiene techniques
Records treatment and examination reports in patient records
May schedule appointments, as directed
Performs other duties and tasks, as directed
Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient
Responsible for operational readiness of the treatment rooms
Mix dental materials and prepare impression materials
Guide patients through the process before treatment as necessary

Job Qualifications:

Minimum education: High School Diploma
Minimum experience: 12 months job experience or completion of a dental assisting program
