Job Description
This position requires travel from 4 – 14 days at a time, while allowing a break from work in between installation jobs. All tools and travel expenses provided by the company. This job is perfect for the person who enjoys working hard on a job and then having free time to enjoy during his breaks in between jobs. The cabinet installer is responsible for installing casework (cabinetry), countertops, and other millwork at customer sites throughout the U.S. Candidate must possess an excellent understanding of carpentry techniques, methods of installation, and construction techniques. In addition, the candidate should possess the following skills:
· Proficient using electrical and manual equipment and measuring tools, such as powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.
· Able to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints and drawings.
· Good attitude and team player.
· Good understanding of basic math.
· Ability to stand during the entire shift and lift materials that could weigh in excess of 50 pounds, either alone, with assistance, or utilizing mechanical assistance such as rolling carts, cabinet lifter, etc.
· Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work under time constraints to meet deadlines
· Willingness to travel for days at a time, as needed. Duration varies by size of job. All travel expenses paid by the company.
The main responsibility of this role is to provide the highest level of installation standards while maintaining a professional attitude with the utmost respect for the customer’s property.
Physical Demands:
· Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs, unassisted (from 35-65% of the time)
· Occasional lifting from 41 lbs +, assisted (up to 50% of the time)
· Access and mobility in tight spaces
· Working at Heights - over 5 feet, periodically
· Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling
Salary commensurate with skills and experience.
