Position Overview
Provide Expert Level Audio/Visual Engineering and Installation support. This position is a short-term hire anywhere from 30 to 120 days and is on a 100% TDY basis.
* This position is contingent upon contract award. *
Responsibilities / Duties
  • Provide expert level QA oversight of A/V related construction efforts
  • Expert knowledge of Secure Compartmentalized Information Facility A/V implementation and Construction requirements.
  • Analyze Operational, Functional & Technical Requirements in order to Develop Audio/Visual Systems Design Documents such as Systems Design Plans, Engineering Implementation Plans, etc.
  • *Provide expert analysis and Advice on Layer 1 Infrastructure Installation plans that include but are not limited to: Fiber Optic cabling, Copper cabling, Cable pathways, Protective Distribution Systems (PDS), Telecommunication Equipment Racks, Power, Grounding and HVAC.
  • Document Project Scope & Timelines.
  • Identify Project Stakeholders along with their Roles & Responsibilities.
  • Perform Technical Feasibility Studies & Conduct Decision Analysis.
  • Develop, Analyze & Present Technical Courses of Action (COAs) for decisions regarding Data & Voice Network system designs.
  • Develop & Present Technical Information Papers (e.g. Issue Paper, Executive Correspondence, etc.)
  • Monitor Project Execution
  • Report on Project Performance
  • Manage Stakeholder Expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Must have deep technical knowledge in operating systems, client and/or hosting hardware, back office applications, web and application services, network protocols, databases, connectivity services, storage, backup and recovery, and systems management concepts and techniques for mission critical systems.
  • In-depth understanding of computer technologies, environments, and data centers and their engineering integration into mission critical system designs.
  • Must possess excellent technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Most be familiar with current fiber and copper communications message and copper and fiber terminations.
  • Strong Time Management skills. Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Experience working with the ITIL and ITSM models.
  • Highly proficient in Windows environments and its application to engineering designs.
  • US Citizen
  • Must have unexpired US Passport valid for a minimum of 2 more years.
  • Must have a current DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Physical Demands
  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally and walk short distances.
  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • May need to climb ladder and crawl into tight spaces.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
  • Able to travel on long flights.
