Medical Front Desk Receptionist / Scheduling Clerk
Qualifications:
· High School Graduate or GED required.
· Previous Medical Practice experience required.
· Experience with EHR system required, Athena preferred.
· Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Accurate computer data entry skills.
· Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
· Ability to work in a high-paced, multi-physician practice.
· Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Responsibilities:
This position requires candidates to have prior medical facility experience. The successful candidate will be cross-trained for coverage in the scheduling department and should be available to travel to satellite locations as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Assist with/completing all Front Desk operations for efficient patient registration and check-out processes.
· Greet patients and confirm completion of all documentation before check-in.
· Collect and input valid identification and insurance information.
· Collect and post all payments made at the time of service.
· Check patients out, place charges in the patient's chart, and handle referrals according to the Provider's notes.
· Maintain/organize patient documents/files.
· Answer phones, schedule appointments, take messages.
· Reconcile time-of-service payments collected daily.
· Maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling patient’s medical records and information.
· Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
· Travel to other locations as needed for coverage.

· Demonstrate a working knowledge of check-in/out procedures.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of office protocols.
· Verbalize customer service skills to alleviate patient anxiety.
· Demonstrate a professional demeanor in communication with patients, providers, managers, and peers.
· Other job duties as required.
