The Assistant Nurse Manager for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will be part of an acute care Medical Center that provides a full range of inpatient, outpatient, emergency and diagnostic services to communities in and near San Francisco Bay Area. Keeping the surrounding communities healthy has been the mission of the hospital ever since it was founded over a century ago.

The NICU Assistant Nurse Manager will have the privilege to work in one of the region's leading not-for-profit hospitals. The hospital offers full services including behavioral medicine, cardiac and vascular care, intensive and general medical care, oncology, orthopedic care, rehabilitation, specialized and general surgery, and women’s and children’s services.

The NICU Assistant Nurse Manager will assist other staff members, families, physicians (attending and resident), by performing as a resource Nurse/RN. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Assistant Nurse Manager may assist with complicated patient care, as a transport manager, or as a listening, caring advocate for families.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager of NICU and Nurse Director of Perinatal Services, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Assistant Nurse Manager will evaluate job performance of Staff RNs, Clinical Care Partners, and staff members on the night shift. The NICU Night Shift Assistant Nurse Manager will also assist with staff education and development.
