Job description
We are looking for a competent server and bartender to join our team in providing high-level service to our members. Quixote Club is a private, members-only club, so this is an opportunity for a bartender/server to build lasting relationships with those they serve. This is a unique setting in that there is not only the day-to-day business, but occasional large events such as wedding receptions and tournaments. Having a working knowledge of classic cocktails and being able to memorize signature cocktails is required.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you.
Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
• Attend to customers upon entrance
• Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
• Take and serve orders
• Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
• Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Prepare the bar for service
• Prepare craft cocktails

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Must be able to stand continuously throughout an 8-10 hour shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, and moving quickly
• Must be 21 years or older according to state alcohol service laws
• Proven restaurant serving or bartending experience preferred
• Attention to cleanliness and safety
• Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
• Responsible and trustworthy
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
