Freezer Handler

**WE HAVE A POSITION OPEN FOR NIGHT SHIFT 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

***COLLECTING AND RETRIEVING PRODUCTS FROM OUR FREEZER

***RECEIVING ORDERS AND SLOTTING IN PROPER SPACE

***WEIGHING, LABELING, AND PACKAGING PRODUCTS

***KEEPING FREEZER AREA ORGANIZED

FREEZER Team Member Job Requirements

- Must be able to work in a LOW TEMPERATURE cold storage facility
- Must be able to work with fresh or frozen seafood products
- Must be able to work Saturdays
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 to 75 lbs continuously
- Prepare and complete orders according to schedule; load, pack, wrap, label, store and prepare for shipping.
- Receive and process warehouse stock products
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high.
- Maintain knowledge in regard to product and storage temperatures.
- Can distinguish between products using different attributes such as lot number, brand, size, and quality.
- Build pallets properly to ensure the quality and condition of the product. Select proper items and ensure merchandise is securely stacked, stored, and leveled.
- Actively maintain a clean and safe working environment, optimize space utilization, remove empty pallets, and discard wrap, tape, straps, trash, and recyclables into the appropriate bins.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and leaders when problems occur or tasks are not complete.
- Understand and follow all safety procedures and take immediate action to correct any unsafe situation.
- Operate powered equipment in a controlled and safe manner.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of order processing.
- Pallet jack and or forklift experience is a must.
