Over the years, the practice has expanded to include more than 30 employees and currently has five convenient locations in Edison, Clifton, Hazlet, West Orange, and Jersey City, New Jersey.

Garden State Pain & Orthopedic is on the cutting edge of technology in pain medicine and has assembled a team of highly-trained physicians with expertise across diverse pain conditions and treatment modalities, including interventional pain techniques, minimally-invasive surgeries, medical management, physical therapy, rehabilitation, and behavioral therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Looking for someone with previous experience in healthcare to work in a fast-paced growing practice - preferably experience in orthopedic surgery .
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must as is the ability to perform well in busy, high-paced medical practice
  • The position is best suited for a candidate with knowledge of healthcare systems operations including office scheduling and workflow management, scheduling of surgeries, and overall patient customer care
  • This position has a high potential for growth and the opportunity to take the reins and create better work processes and patient satisfaction
  • Must be willing to travel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Obtaining pre-certification of procedures
  • Faxing all required documentation (patients consents, clearances, results, H&P., etc.) to the OR, confirming receipt of same
  • Finalizing schedule, arranging any special requirements (ex. equipment needs, verifies schedule with provider and patient, coordinates add-ons, follows proper procedure regarding conflicts)
  • Patient communications while adhering to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines
  • · Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Managing busy provider schedules
  • Assisting with patient scheduling
