Job Description
Seeking a Supply Chain/Logistics intern to train for future positions with a focus on transportation management (all modes and directions), project management, freight procurement, import/export compliance, and KPI development/maintenance.
Essential Functions
- Assist in developing and maintaining KPI's, on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
- Learn all aspects of the division's transportation network.
- Attend required training courses including effective presentations and negotiation skills as necessary.
- Interact with engineering, accounting, quality, operations and a host of other functional areas as necessary.
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or Operations Management degree program. Junior status or higher.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
- Must have strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Power BI).
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
- Must have the ability to work legally in the US without sponsorship.
