Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP, an AM LAW 100 firm is seeking a Proposal Manager in our Atlanta or Charlotte office to support the daily operations of the firm-wide Pursuits Team. The Proposal Manager will report to the Strategic Pursuits Director. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, curious, energetic, and detail-oriented. This position can be based out of our Atlanta, Charlotte, Charleston or Greenville office. Please include a cover letter and writing sample in your application.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with attorneys, marketing professionals and other members of the administrative team to coordinate the drafting and production of high-quality proposals and RFP responses.
- Create, write and update marketing content in centralized repository, including descriptions of the firm, service area and sector descriptions, specialty initiatives, attorney biographies, etc.
- Collaborate with the Creative Team to produce and update marketing collateral, including brochures, advertisements, placemats, etc.
- Input, track and report against proposal metrics, including follow-up on opportunities to gain insight on win/loss and other post-pitch feedback.
- Perform research and data collection on clients and prospective clients, industries/sectors and competitors.
- Develop and manage processes related to maintaining "best of" content and templates that capture the firm's brand value proposition and tailored response material.
- Manage projects for cross-functional proposal initiatives such as Mansfield reporting, panel counsel tracking, and client permissions.
- Collect and maintain content for the firm's experience database.
- Handle other related day-to-day marketing administrative needs, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience, preferably within a global law firm or professional services organization
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage simultaneous priorities, working independently or as part of a team
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Attention to detail, particularly related to proofreading and grammar usage
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat required; proficiency with Word Styles and SharePoint preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
