Job Title: Drafter CAD Operator II

POSITION OVERVIEW
AITC is seeking a Drafter CAD Operator II to develop and maintain drawings and schematics. Converses with engineers and other subject matter experts to interpret design concepts, determine nature and type of required detailed working drawings, and coordinate work with others. Uses required drafting and mechanical drawing skills, and knowledge of computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
* Create and update drawings of all information systems circuits, lines, and systems into the Government's CAD and CAM programs.
* Maintain a web-based information database composed of complex maps, cable/fiber configurations, digital and hard copy sketches, diagrams, drawings, photographs, databases, and tables configured in a database management system.
* Make all necessary and applicable changes and updates to the site cable plant drawings as they occur.
* Ensure all required cable records are established and verified from the point of demarcation through the customer termination point.
* Keep existing cable documentation up to date and identify any unserviceable infrastructure.
* Validate all existing drawings to ensure the drawings are accurate and up to date.
* Ensure the information includes all communications closets, switches, routers, rack elevations, multiplexers, manholes, telephone poles, pedestals, all cross-connects (jumpers) and the customer telephone number.
* Provide CAD-CAM computer, software, printer, and associated supplies for Contractor personnel.
* Update and maintain all OSP/ISP and remote communications facilities final drawings for all areas in the CAD-CAM system.
* Maintain an electronic copy of Plant-in-Place drawing library and update the related TMS asset management database.
* Additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* Requires 1-3 years of related experience.
* High School Diploma or GED
* ITIL Foundations within 6 months.
* SECRET Clearance
* Must be a US citizen.
* Able to work Overtime as required.
* Must be available to travel as required.
PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
* Knowledgeable in Army Network Enterprise Center operations
* Familiarity with AutoCAD 2016 and Visio 2013.
* Demonstrated ability:
o Utilize Global Positioning System (GPS) software/equipment, plotters, and scanners.
o Follow circuit paths, circuit diagrams, schematic cable/fiber runs, engineering drawings, identify circuit components, and document all findings.
o Review and assess site cable plant and equipment layout drawings for all locations.
o Utilize plotters and scanners; follow circuit paths, circuit diagrams, schematic cable and fiber runs, and engineering drawings; and identify circuit components.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
* Ability to work reliably under minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
* Predominantly indoors in normal office environment.
* Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and reach.

* Must have visual acuity.
* Must be able to lift up-to 10 pounds.
