$2,524.61 to $2,777.07 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Performs experienced professional work planning, programming, and advocating County facility requirements for current and future years across a variety of funding sources, in accordance with applicable County guidelines, criteria, and policies. Work involves preparing cost and materials estimates for various County projects; planning, estimating, and programming of Capital Improvement Project (CIP) Facility sustainment, restoration, and modernization projects for future year execution; preparing scope of work documents; assisting with project management; and serving as a liaison between Facilities Program customers and other key stakeholders relating to project requirements.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Architecture, Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field PLUS four (4) years of professional experience relating to the degree field. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience as a Construction Project Manager or Commercial Construction Estimator is preferred. Life-cycle cost estimating experience is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must be able to successfully pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) background check administered by the Brevard County Sheriff's Office. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
