About The Position

The Supervisor, Operations is responsible to ensure readiness for cleanliness and facility needs. Manages aspects of infrastructure operations and maintenance. This includes developing, implementing, and overseeing a preventative maintenance program and supervision of bargaining unit co-workers.

Key responsibilities include:

* Develop, lead, and direct the Facilities Management & Construction Operations team. Oversee and provide clear expectations for the daily operation and management of assigned facilities and programs, including scheduling and assigning work to co-workers and coordinating with staff, subcontractors, and/or vendors. Provide on-going feedback and coaching, empower, as appropriate coworkers to optimize customer affordability and business partner support

* Overseeing staffing and performance evaluation of assigned co-workers (safe, efficient, and effective performance in accordance with the limitations of any applicable collective bargaining agreements and HR policies); contribute to department staffing needs forecast. Lead and support the onboarding and training process.

* Align roles, functions and assignments with individual capabilities, development goals and company objectives to drive strategy execution, customer reliability and facility optimization. Help the team understand how they contribute to the overall Ameren vision. Develop and manage key talent to ensure success of all individual team members. Develop a vision for teams that address short-term needs while considering long-term opportunities. Establish a pulse on team engagement by encouraging leaders and coworkers to envision new possibilities and visualizing a future that extends beyond existing capabilities. Lead group to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions to enhance processes, control costs, improve productivity, organizational capabilities, specifications, and standards.

* Foster and enforce a culture of safety and zero unsafe acts by championing and achieving safety efforts and ensuring that safety is the top value of every co-worker. Assist, promote, and support Safety Committees.

* Coordinate activities with business partners, contractors, and other company departments. Oversight of suppliers and vendors. Monitor to ensure timely completion. Maintain optimum business partner satisfaction and service level standards while meeting high efficiency, reliability, and safety standards of Ameren facilities. Communicate connection between Ameren's strategic direction, functional area vision and departmental goals; think big picture and long-term by setting clear expectations for self, direct reports, and others. Contribute to the development and implementation of department and function goals.

* Support budget development, justification, implementation, and administration. Develop and manage ongoing service contracts as applicable. Efficiently utilize company systems related to work tracking, time reporting, and materials management, including dashboards. Develop and implement high-level plans, goals, and metrics for monitoring and achieving defined performance objectives for work group.

* Provide project management for projects under $100K. Supports large capital projects representing Operations on project teams, field coordination and budgeting.

* Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required. Five or more years of experience in commercial building operations, maintenance, industrial or military environment experience required. Previous supervisory or project team leadership experience preferred. Experience with bargaining unit teams preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Technical knowledge of best practices in facilities management discipline, including the operation of commercial building equipment and HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems required. Strong working knowledge of OSHA and other safety requirements are also required. Understanding and applying relevant codes, regulations, and processes. Provides clear, concise, and timely communication. Experience planning, developing, and implementing programs. Applies organization and leadership skills to ensure internal and external resources work together to meet project objectives. Capable of foreseeing and mitigating all types of operations and maintenance risk while capable of troubleshooting and resolving the most complex operations and maintenance issues. Demonstrates ability to lead, coach and guide others. Resolution of co-worker conflict and business partner issues. Results oriented leadership style. Ability to make sound judgment calls in a timely manner. Ability to be flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities, comfortable with frequent or rapid change. Reflect Ameren's values. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, OneNote, etc.) and Windows products. Software competency in work order/CAFM system preferred.
