Procurement Associate

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Procurement Associate Position type: Full-time Contract Duration: 6 months Location: Mobile, AL As a Procurement Associate, you will be: Entering requisitions on behalf of mill support team for MRO, services, capital equipment and operating supplies. Working with Mill Stores team to transport parts and equipment to final location in the Mill. Securing parts staging areas in the mill and stage parts for capital projects. Reconciling bill of materials (BOMs) to part received prior to installation to ensure all parts received. Working with appropriate procurement personnel to help expedite parts, find alternate parts, submit invoices, and address any service issues. Ensuring contractors scheduled to come on site are approved in the ISN system and work with them to address any issues prior to arrival date. Completing contractor safety orientation with contractors prior to starting a new job. Working with appropriate procurement personnel to proactively vet suppliers by category following procurement processes and procedures to ensure supply continuity at the Mill level. Pulling daily report of parts pulled from Stores to ensure warranties are executed as available. Working with Mill host to complete contractor evaluations after completion of a job. Completing capital project Project Spend Report (PSR) monthly to forecast spending and budget. Working with Mill Finance manager to forecast monthly expense spending. Implementing Mill cost controls to ensure cost center owners approve spend before requisitioning. The ideal candidate will have: Ability to work with or experience in a Procurement/Purchasing role, preferably experience in a Mill location. Experience working with contractor services (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, engineering) Experience writing scope of work (SOW) Understanding of different types of purchase contracts (T&M, Fixed Cost, GMax, Cost+) and when to use each type. Knowledge of how to read a bill of materials and validate parts received match. SAP expertise is a must. Coupa and Marketplace are desired. Basic understanding of finance principles.
