As a Bridge Inspector Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and structural integrity of various bridge structures. You will be leading a team of inspectors in performing routine and complex inspections, assessing the condition of bridges, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. You will also be responsible for preparing and presenting detailed reports on the condition of the bridges, identifying any areas of concern, and recommending appropriate repair or maintenance procedures. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a high level of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and physical ability.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and coordinate a team of bridge inspectors in conducting routine and complex bridge inspections.
2. Evaluate the condition of bridge structures using a variety of inspection methods and techniques.
3. Prepare detailed inspection reports, identifying any areas of concern and recommending appropriate repair or maintenance procedures.
4. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including FHWA/ NHI coursework.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bridge inspection methods and procedures.
6. Coordinate with other construction professionals to ensure the timely and efficient completion of inspection tasks.
7. Participate in the development and implementation of inspection procedures and standards.
8. Conduct training sessions for junior inspectors, sharing your knowledge and expertise.

Qualifications:

1. 5-20 years of bridge inspection experience.
2. NICET Certification.
3. BS degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering preferred.
4. Completed comprehensive training courses including FHWA/ NHI coursework (Bridge Inspection/ Refresher Training, Fracture Critical, Tunnel Inspection, Ancillary Structures Etc.).
5. Thorough knowledge of bridge inspection methods and procedures.
6. Experience with reporting procedures.
7. Physical abilities to traverse steep embankments, work within confined spaces, perform inspections while climbing structures, capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs.
8. Knowledge of Bentley Microstation/ AutoCAD.
9. Licensed Professional Engineer.
10. Experience with full process- reporting, repairing, and recommendations.
11. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
12. Strong communication and report writing skills.
13. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
14. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety.
15. Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
