Job Details:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Technical Baker for our Research & Development department in the Manufacturing industry. This unique role is an exciting opportunity to combine your love for baking and technical expertise to create innovative bakery products. You will be at the forefront of New Product Development (NPD), working on formulation activities, bakery blend creation, and process development. This position requires a hands-on approach and will involve test baking, sensory analysis, and creating detailed data sheets. If you have a knack for baking and a solid understanding of the science behind it, this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing innovative bakery products using your knowledge of formulation activities and bakery blend creation.
  • Leading New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring all products meet our high-quality standards.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed data sheets, recipes, and formulas for all bakery goods.
  • Conducting test baking and sensory analysis to evaluate the quality, taste, texture, and appearance of our products.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launch and process development.
  • Continually researching and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the bakery and manufacturing industry.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting issues in the baking process and proposing effective solutions.
  • Ensuring all activities are compliant with food safety and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the bakery or food manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in formulation activities, bakery blend creation, and New Product Development (NPD).
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of baking science and processes.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining detailed data sheets, recipes, and formulas.
  • Proficiency in test baking and conducting sensory analysis.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues in the baking process.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A degree in Food Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Must be passionate about baking and creating innovative bakery products.
