We are actively seeking attorneys for our growing workers’ compensation defense teams. This position will report to a Shareholder who works remotely out of Connecticut. Attorneys have the option to either work remotely or work out of either our Houston or Miami locations.
Our attorneys – including associates - have the opportunity to participate in administrative hearings, depositions, and trials. Workers ’compensation trials have continued over the past year by video and telephone conference. While we predict that much of our work will continue by videoconference after the pandemic ends, travel will become possible for interested attorneys.
We endeavor to foster a culture that enables all attorneys to contribute to their full potential. We provide training in the practice areas. We are open to hiring newly licensed attorneys (and graduates who are awaiting results). We are also looking for experienced attorneys who are ready to manage a team of associates.
Hiring Criteria:
- Currently licensed to practice law in at least one state, and in good standing in that state.
- Willing to passionately yet professionally defend claims under the Defense Base Act (see https://www.dol.gov/agencies/owcp/dlhwc/ExplainingDBA).
- Committed to providing excellent – and timely - legal work and customer service.
