About this job
Local company is looking for a Maintenance Technician on 3rd shift (11pm - 7am). Will repair and main machinery and equipment, installs, programs and automotive machinery. Plus all other functions assigned.
General Requirements
- Knows the applicable Customer Requirements, understands the impact of not conforming to customer requirements.
- The ability to spot problems as they begin to develop and work pro-actively to resolve them.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Working with and coordinate outside contractors
- Order supplies
- Do site preparation for new equipment and create new PMs for new equipment
- Create work orders and assign them to technicians
- Run downtime reports
- Actively supports plant safety efforts through departmental participation in safety meetings and safety walks
- Must be willing to report unsafe conditions, reporting unsafe acts, participating in safety/ergonomic committees, participating in safety Kaizen events, participating in Blue Sky initiatives, participating in safety audits, and participating in safety observation feedback events.
- Assist the plant in achieving safety goals while achieving and maintaining Safe Workplace and Environmental and Sustainability AMS objectives.
- Attend all required training.
Attributes/Skills Required/Sought
- Associates degree or continuing education preferred.
- Demonstrated practical experience in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical repairs
- Minimum of three years prior maintenance supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination education/experience
- Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP
- Basic reading and mathematical skills
- Carry / Lift 45 lbs.
- Follow safe work practices along with all plant rules and regulations
