Job Description
Primary Purpose -
Ideal Remote Full or Part Time teaching positions for teachers who love teaching but don't want to deal with classroom politics and just want to teach core skills to engaged students. We are looking for teachers to create and teach honors level ELA for 5th to 10th grade students using some of today's latest technologies for a small Private Co-Op School. Part time positions will have a 4 hour fixed schedule, with potential for additional hours if desired, for a year-round school.
Currently the classes are taught remote with equipment and needs supplied by the Private School. Must be able to establish effective rapport with student(s); to motivate student(s) to develop skills, attitudes, creativity and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for high school level education in accordance with student's ability.
You will be joining a great, collaborative team of teachers, working together to help develop students reach their full potential. Class sizes are much smaller than traditional schools.

Requirements -
Bachelor's Degree in Education required, Masters or PhD desired
US State Teaching License for Jr. High or High School Education; ELA Endorsement a plus
Must have 5+ years minimum Jr. High School or High School Honors Level Teaching Experience in Language Arts (not including Teachers Aid positions or ESL)
Advanced writing and grammar skills required and ability to teach those critical skills
Must be “tech savvy” and comfortable learning new software
Knowledge of Latin a plus, but not required

Professional home area to conduct remote classes
Responsibilities -
Teach Honors level courses in Jr. High and High School Language Arts with an emphasis on reading, grammar, spelling and writing, utilizing course of study adopted by the Utah Board of Education, and other appropriate learning activities.
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials for non-political core subject classes. Create the curriculum (on digital platform provided by the Company) based on the needs of the student(s). We would pay all expenses needed for creating curriculum (ex: licensing fees, etc).
Uses a variety of instruction strategies, such as inquiry, lecture, discovery, etc.
Translate lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
Evaluates students' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports.
Comfortable with remote learning, keeping the child engaged, and on task.
Recommends books and instructional aids as required.
Administers standardized tests in accordance with state testing program.
Participates cooperatively with the appropriate administrator to develop the method by which the teacher will be evaluated in conformance with guidelines.
