Sr. Transportation Engineering Manager

Prime AE Group (), a multi-discipline Architecture & Engineering firm with 20 office locations and over 475 employees within the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, Midwest and Southeast Regions, is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineering Manager for our Kentucky region.

Position Overview:

The primary focus of this role will be to oversee and manage KYTC projects with budget and P&L oversight.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Utilize extensive professional networks and channels to become aware of upcoming projects and new business opportunities for PRIME AE - specifically pertaining to planning, roadway and bridge design, and municipal work.
• Write and submit proposals, Statements of Work, and Requests for Information.
• Oversee projects (deadlines, budget, contracts) from a Project Manager perspective.
• Grow the Kentucky office in terms of projects, revenue, and office headcount.
• Provide in-house coordination and expertise for public projects involving roadways.
• Interface with other departments within the region to ensure efficient and organized operations of the projects.
• Interact with Federal, State and Local agencies.
• Ensure the knowledge sharing of engineering best practices across departments; and develop and monitor technical standards to ensure adherence to them.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Master's Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Active Kentucky PE is required.
• 15+ years' experience and/or training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the roadway (KYTC) industry.
• Bentley training and/or experience with relevant engineering software preferred, and computer literate on Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preliminary and Final design experience with KYTC projects, specifications and guidelines preferred.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using MicroStation, Inroads, OpenRoads preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with AASHTO Policy's and Guidelines.
• Experience with site development and / or municipal projects preferred.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic design (a plus)
• Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills.
