Experienced Catering and Banquets; Operations Maitre'd (Essex County-N

A well-established wedding and banquet venue is seeking an experienced operations manager/Maitre'd for immediate full-time employment.

Responsibilities included:
-Manage a team of catering staff for successful execution of catering events.
-Perform staff management, Hiring/Training, expense controls within job function.
-Develop positive working relationship with existing customers for repeat business.
-Work consistently with sales department on operation and execution of events.
-Attend BEO meetings for proper event set-up, staffing and execution of successful events.
-Prepare comprehensive catering order form according to client’s requirements and interests.
-Coordinate and manage catering operations to assure quality services.
-Attend meetings on regular basis with catering team to discuss about new orders and issues.
-Coordinate with Chef on food preparation/presentation, and set-up required activities to ensure successful event.
-Hire and train staffs on catering processes and policies.
-Adhere to sanitation and safety standards throughout the complex.
-Due to the nature of this business, weekend work is a must.
