Salesforce Solution Architect

Things You Need to Have:
• 3-year diploma / degree in Computer Science/Systems/Engineering/Information Systems or Business Administration or a
combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum of three (3) Salesforce Certification out of:
o Data Architecture and Management Designer
o Development Lifecycle and Deployment Designer
o Identity and Access Management Designer
o Integration Architecture Designer
o Community Cloud Consultant
o Platform Developer I
• Minimum of ten (10) years of Salesforce implementation experience, including development, across the full software
development lifecycle.
• Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience as a senior-level Salesforce Solution Architect Lead.
• Experience with key areas of enterprise architecture, including but not limited to integration technologies, large volume
data, single sign on, and master data management.
• Experience with other development platforms, preferably .net, or java, and/or ruby.
• General experience with real-time integration; experience with integration on the Force.com platform.
• Experience with multiple, complex, and at least one large Salesforce implementation project involving multiple releases,
change management process, and/or multilocale deployment.
• Understanding of best practices and design trade-offs, with the ability to communicate design choices.
• Experience with multiple, and at least one object-oriented, development patterns/principles.
• Awareness of mobile solutions and considerations.
• Awareness of data migration considerations, design trade-offs, and common ETL tools.
• Awareness of common third-party solution providers for Salesforce.
• Experience designing test plans and evaluating effectiveness.
• Experience with lifecycle methodologies.
• Proven success with projects involving the skills and technologies above, with a portfolio of references to speak for the
work.
• Knowledge of internet and cloud architecture paradigms.
• High level of analytical, problem-solving, and creative skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

What you will be doing:
The incumbent will work with the clients and other CRM team members to define business processes, architect the
customer’s implementation of CRM and design solutions as it relates to the various integration points between Salesforce
and the new Information System. Work includes the entire software development lifecycle for configuration,
customization, and integration of the CRM and SIS.
The incumbent is responsible for the design of the technical architecture solution that may span multiple platforms and
include integration and authentication across systems. Solutions should be built taking into consideration Salesforce best
practices and recommended design standards. The incumbent will manage the development lifecycle to ensure the
delivery of highly secure solutions that are optimized for performance with large data volumes and built to scale.

The incumbent will articulate design considerations, trade-offs, benefits, and recommendations for a technical architecture
on the Force.com platform.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Design, develop and implement the Salesforce database and application architecture. Ensures data security and privacy,
access control, effective application, and operating system interface. Must work with the CRM team to install and maintain
the CRM system with minimum disruption to the system’s operations
• Interact with the business and CRM team to gain an understanding of the environment, technical context, and
organizational strategic direction. Apply specialized knowledge in a solutions development discipline to support business
functions. Review current systems. Negotiate, develop a plan, and propose solutions that aligns with the Enterprise CRM
application.
• Design and develop an integration framework to support all Salesforce interfaces, current and proposed.
o Work with development, infrastructure, and management to design an integration framework that will promote the
sharing of data across all Enterprise Platforms.
• Confirm and prioritizes project plans and deliverables with the internal staff and customer, and ensures deliverables
scope, timelines, and budget are met. Effectively apply the best practices to deliverables and uphold quality.
• Design and maintain product roadmap for introduction of new functionality or decommissioning of applications.
o Review and assistant in the maintenance of the strategy for CRM program
o Determine and execute on upgrade plan; and
o Determine which features need to be enabled to meet demands of partners.
