Material Handlers, 2nd & 3rd shifts

PrideStaff San Diego is partnering with our client, a well-established company in the Miramar area (San Diego, CA), who is seeking experienced Material Handlers.

They have 2nd and 3rd shifts open and the pay is $20 per hour and these are temporary to permanent opportunities. Note: your workweek includes weekend work and next year, all shifts will move to 12-hour shifts.

-- 2nd Shift info (2pm to 10:30pm): Wednesday to Sunday
-- 3rd Shift info (10pm to 6:30am): Friday to Tuesday or Wednesday to Sunday.

Job Requirements:

• Must have at least 1-2+ year of recent warehouse experience
• FDA, ISO, and/or GMP process experience
• Have experience with picking and packing as well as use of pallet jacks
• Able and willing to read, learn, and follow processes and procedures
• Have good attention to detail
• Enjoy high-quality work according to the processes and procedures
• Have excellent work ethics and punctuality
• Enjoy working in a team / be a team player and be willing to help out where needed
• Have basic computer and math skills
• Able to move/lift up to 50 pounds and be able to stand, walk, and bend throughout your shift
• Must be able and willing to work over the weekend - every week - and long-term
• Able and willing to start working 12-hours shifts in the future
• At least 6 months of recent forklift experience preferred
• Have reliable transportation to the Miramar (San Diego) area
• Some pre-employment criteria is required for this company
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Job Overview:
The client is seeking quality-focused and detail-oriented candidates for their fantastic company! This is a warehouse/production environment that serves a dual purpose as a warehouse for receipt and delivery of the products, but also houses a conveyor system and machinery required to process the cleaning of the products. This is a smaller workplace which has an efficient and clean working environment (regular warehouse tidy-up is part of the job). During the first part of your employment, a large portion of your role will most likely be as a picker/packer. Your job duties will include but are not be limited to:

• Load and unload customer products manually or using automated equipment into the validated cleaning process.
• Utilize handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to transfer customer products through their cleaning process.
• Safely and accurately process customer products according to established procedures within FDA, ISO, and GMP guidelines.
• Comply with all health and safety requirements to work within the facility that utilize various industrial cleaning modalities.
• Complete annual training and annual certification to use personal protective equipment, etc.
• Ensure safety and quality in all aspects of the job.
• May assist in maintaining product inventory by receiving, identifying, labeling if appropriate, and storing product within the Shipping and Receiving area in accordance with established procedure and any applicable customer provided special instructions.
• Contributes to safe product processing by responding to any alarm conditions in an appropriate manner; reports events and activities outside normal parameters to Operator or Management.
