Packaging Plant Electrician PLC

We are currently seeking an Electrician to join our afternoon team! You will strive to provide safe electrical systems for a variety of customers in our packaging plant.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and solve problems in packaging facility
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical components of packaging equipment.
• Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
• Troubleshoot motor and control systems
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
• Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes
• Make decisions based on technical documents
• Perform quality testing and inspections
• Work as a team member or alone to complete projects

​​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in electrical engineering or other related fields
• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility
• Knowledge of PLC (Allen Bradley, Festo, CLICK) and VFDs
• Pneumatic Controls
• Ladder logic and wiring diagrams
• Familiarity with AC/DC motors
• Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
• Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
• Previous experience with forklift, man lifts, and other material handling equipment
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Basic computer skills such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
