Join the HNI Corporation family and become a driving force in shaping exceptional workplace experiences! We're seeking a results oriented and innovative Engineering Manager to join our Gunlocke team in Wayland, NY, where you'll enjoy competitive compensation starting between $90,000-125,000.
- 7 or more years of shop floor experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong background in industrial engineering and manufacturing leadership, with a proven track record of driving change and supporting the shop floor
- Proven experience implementing Lean principles and driving continuous improvement
- Experience in High-Mix Low-Volume Manufacturing, coupled with a strategic and tactical approach
- Lead engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
- Previous experience in the furniture or wood casegoods manufacturing space is preferred
- Positive mindset with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
- Responsible for managing projects, timelines, and deliverables; ensuring that the team meets its goals and objectives
- Oversee day-to-day operations on the shop floor to ensure efficiency, quality and positive communication amongst the team
- Monitor key performance indicators to drive improvements in productivity and cost-effectiveness
- Implement and improve quality control processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams
