We have used this ‘business model’ for 20+ years and it works well. Our staff are happy, our clients are happy, AND, we are able to help our cherished patients with advanced diagnostics, alternative therapies, and the best of eastern and western medicine. However, we need YOU to help us grow further.

We are in the final stages of a renovation that will increase our hospital square footage to 6100sf. We will have 2 full treatment centers, an operating room and 8 exam rooms for the ‘healing’ aspect for the fur babies. Additionally, we have a 2000 SF separate space that has a staff lounge, kitchen/break area, doctors’ offices, call center, and conference room. This space is for staff only and allows for you to get away, catch a breath, take a nap and wear your fuzzy slippers. Yes…this actually happens.

Our continued growth has created an opportunity for us to add another full-time veterinarian. We seek someone who will like to teach us as well as learn from us. We believe every team member is vital to learning. The ideal person would be interested in acupuncture, chiropractic, cats as well as dogs and skilled in traditional medicine and modalities.

The Cooke Veterinary Medical Center is not a corporation, but is a local, woman owned business. Dr. Denette Cooke opened the center in 2002 and instead of following the masses and selling out to a corporation she instead plans to convert her practice to an employee-owned business! She believes in order to ‘fix’ veterinary medicine, the ownership of the practice should reflect the employees of the practice. Those members who have skin in the game and have been on the front line of healing, deserve to also have the opportunity to reap the rewards of ownership. Yes, it’s different here!

Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• State veterinary license in good standing
• Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a positive team culture
• Interest in and openness to alternative therapies, acupuncture, and chiropractic care
• Commitment to providing excellent patient care and client service
