Line Cook/Cook

Amoura, a family-owned restaurant located in South San Francisco, is looking to hire a Line Cook.

Our ideal hire would be able to perform the following duties:

• Minimum 2 years experience in high volume food production with a focus on quality (fine dining and/or up-market catering experience encouraged)
• Strong understanding and passion for sustainability and seasonality
• Friendly and flexible personality
• Mature decision maker and team player - you will be an integral part of a new but well-seasoned team
• Well developed palate
• Excellent knife skills
• Knows how to work with a sense of urgency
• Solid knowledge of all basic cooking techniques, ie: braising, roasting, sauté, baking, poaching
• Must be clean and organized
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable and motivated
• Flexible schedule
• Must have valid food handler’s certificate
