Job Description

• Bilingual needed: Candidate highly preferred to be fluent in both English and Spanish, written, verbal and conversational.  
• Must be a licensed Cosmetologist to apply

Essential Function     Salon Professional duties includes hair consultations, building the customers confidence to do it themselves, lead DIY education based services, lead workshops, educate the customer on products, stay updated on the latest hair trends and techniques, and create content for social media.     Primary Duties     70%

• Customer focused - Demonstrates a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
• Inspire and educate every DO IT YOURSELF customer
• Provides step by step education based services for customers
• Demonstrate and sell Sally Beauty products
• Proactively develop new customers
• Assist and converts customers to products or services
• Consistently increases client retention by building relationships and pre-booking appointments for DIY workshops
• Show willingness to grow and continue education to maintain knowledge of the current trends
• Safe use of equipment and chemicals
• Perform all necessary duties for operational excellence (i.e. station sanitation, laundry duties, effective management of appointment booking systems)
• Attends and completes training, as related to Studio by Sally

• Books appointments for workshops
• Lead DIY workshops in a group setting
• Must be comfortable speaking to groups during workshops

• Assist store in selling product, product maintenance, and customer service

• Ability to create content for social media as directed by Studio by Sally

• High school graduation or GED completion.
• Licensed by the state for which you are applying for a role with Studio by Sally
• Passion for educating customer through DIY methods
• Proficiency with hair tools
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good verbal communication
• Solid understanding of color theory
• Creative mindset and a good eye for design
• Ability to create content for social media, with correct spelling
• Ability to work a flexible schedule 
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements  

The position requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
