That is what we call... **SMART** . **EFFICIENT** . **LOGISTICS** . **Job Summary** The Material Handler/ General Laborer is responsible for timely movement of raw material, work in process and finished goods throughout our fabrication work centers.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities** * Stages operating work centers with required materials to reduce downtime

* Operates various sizes and configurations of forklift. Licensing required through G&D training

* Manually removes laser cut product from nest

* Packages and stages product for customer shipment

* Builds fabrication kits for welding department

* Touches-up paint with spray cans as needed and requested

* Operates overhead crane to load/unload parts

* Reads work orders & bill or materials to ensure kitting accuracy

* Performs general housekeeping duties and preventative maintenance

* Drives Company pick-up truck to move materials to company sites (locally).

* Understands and follow all ISO and 5S initiatives

* Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals

* Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill

* Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures; report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or human resources

* Physical requirements

+ Regularly required to stand; handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; lift up to 35 lbs.

* Work environment

+ Regularly work near moving mechanical parts and exposure to vibration

+ Indoor shop environment with adequate ventilation

+ Noise levels requires the use of OSHA compliant PPE

**Qualifications**

* Must have a valid drivers license

* High school diploma or GED

* Six to Twelve months related experience and/or training

* 6 to Twelve months of fork lift operation

* Exposure in blueprint reading
