**POSITION SUMMARY:**

To prepare records of shipments and bills of lading. Prepares records of receipt of incoming material and equipment and posts to open orders. Responsible for accuracy of shipping documents and verifying receiving receipts with open orders.

**POSITION EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS** **:**

* High school GED graduate required.

* Valid Texas driver's license required.

* Experience in material management and hospital experience preferred.

* Computer knowledge is required.

* Must be able to be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues.

* Good written and verbal communication skills required.

* Ability to read, write and speak English.

* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians.

**JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE** **:**

* One (2) year experience in Receiving goods and equipment.

* Familiar with the concepts of different receiving methods.

* Familiar with receiving procedures via automated system.

* Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:**

* Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others. Considers mission, vision and values in developing services, standards and practices.

* Receive shipments as they arrive daily.

* Review packing slips to confirm deliveries belong to hospital.

* Confirm quantity ordered is consistent with quantity received. Receive products via MMIS application.

* Notify Buyers of any discrepancies in a timely manner.

* Trouble shoot packages that were shipped without identifying purchase order number to determine origin and corresponding Buyer.

* Identify unmarked shipments and determine if delivery without a designated PO is appropriate.

* Will stamp all packing slips with receipt date.

* Will process paperwork to Accounting as appropriate.

* Organize deliveries for distribution to the proper facility.

* Ensure all ship-outs are processed daily and maintain a record of all ship outs for the facility.

* Reconcile signed delivery tickets and research missing paperwork.

* Work on receiving discrepancies.

* Maintain filing per process and provide proof of delivery on request.

* Attach charge stickers to chargeable items.

* Maintain and manage bulk inventory, reducing as necessary.

* Manage and organize equipment and miscellaneous hospital property for storage to include facilitation of sale, disposal, donation, or reallocation as appropriate.

* Manage records storage to include organization and appropriate and timely destruction per indicated destroy dates.

* Record temperatures and package condition of all temperature sensitive items and note on packing list and within MMIS Receiving application.

* Maintain daily temperature log for refrigerator and cold store room. Must put in work orders if temperatures are out of range.

* Assist with special projects.

* Pick solutions for dialysis, pharmacy, and other respective departments.

* Pick items for clinics that are stored in the Receiving Warehouse (ex: sharps container, trash bin, etc.)

* Maintain PAR levels for supplies/items stored in the Receiving Warehouse.

* Keep workspaces neat and tidy.

* Must be able and willing to operate department equipment and vehicles.

* May perform other tasks & duties as assigned that is appropriate with the operation of the Supply Chain Department.
