The Inn at the Pier is looking for Host/Hostess to join the team!
The Host/Hostess is responsible for welcoming guests in a warm and friendly manner, seating guests and manage the seating chart, monitor bar activity to determine seating and dining flow, respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner and perform opening and closing duties, as assigned.

The Host/Hostess is responsible for welcoming guests in a warm and friendly manner, seating guests and manage the seating chart, monitor bar activity to determine seating and dining flow, respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner and perform opening and closing duties, as assigned.

Essential Requirements:
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming (per brand standards).
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with the hotel's scheduling that will vary according to hotel business levels.
- Always comply with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient bar operation.
- Always maintain a friendly and warm demeanor.
- In addition to knowledge of Lot 12, must possess knowledge of hotel outlet hours of operation, hotel activities, meeting room locations, and in-house functions.
- Able to operate the POS computer system.
- Use proper phone etiquette and phone procedures.
- Effectively utilize all opening and closing checklists.
- Knowledge of Alcohol Awareness and requests identification from guests to verify legal drinking age.
- When necessary, assist in set up tables/rooms according to diagram.
- Always maintain warm and friendly demeanor.
- Enjoy working in a team environment.
- Always use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with other employees.
- Attend meetings as required by management.
- Able to satisfy and resolve basic food quality and service complaints.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in hotel F&B or restaurant.
