Ray & Joan KROC Corps Community Center Purpose Statement: Inspire people to discover their God given talents and develop their potential through artistic, educational, physical, and spiritual experiences in a Christ-centered atmosphere.

Summary/Primary Purpose:

We are looking for a committed follower of Jesus, who will strive to "live a life worthy of the calling you have received" (Eph:4:1) as he/she executes relevant ministry initiatives as directed by the Kroc Officer(s). The role will aid in developing vision and strategy for worship arts, Christian education, evangelism, discipleship, and will oversee all aspects of music and worship. This role will provide an amazing environment, where everyone in the community can belong, grow, and thrive physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Minister to the congregation through singing while playing an instrument (piano or guitar).
  • Lead the worship team, helping each member improve their music skills, and to grow in their walk with Christ.
  • Manage all worship experiences for weekly and seasonal church programs.
  • Prepare and be a resource on audiovisual technology that will enhance worship services and other ministry-related programs.
  • Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers who will support worship experiences, including praise team participants, audiovisual, greeters, ushers, etc.
  • Provide support to the Kroc Officers by coordinating congregational communications, including the development and implementation of creative tools through video, apps, website, and social media.
  • In coordination with marketing, provide ministry content for social platforms and displays around the center.
  • Plan, coordinate and lead gospel arts initiatives with the goal of building bridges to Sunday worship experiences.
  • Minister to people of all ages through Christian education groups.
  • Ensure that music platforms and content throughout the building keeps with The Salvation Army values.
  • Provides support and resources to assist Kroc program departments to integrate ministry through worship where appropriate to all age groups and demographics of Kroc guests.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of all gospel arts resources (musical instruments, costumes, soundboard etc.)
  • Take a lead role during seasonal nursing home visits, and outreach opportunities, coordinating volunteers, schedules and music ministry.
  • Takes part in seasonal Red Kettle efforts which includes counting, driving, and playing/singing at kettle locations.
  • Schedule varies and will include some evenings, weekend, and holiday hours.
  • Attending conferences and worship gatherings as required by Kroc Officers.
  • Driving is an essential function of the role.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage volunteers as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Christian ministry, music, or related field preferred. Additionally, at least two years of related experience in church leadership and programming. Salvation Army Corps soldiership experience preferred, but not required.
