VCA Animal Health Hospital is looking for a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician to join our growing 2-doctor practice in Tucson, Arizona. We pride ourselves on having a diverse, family atmosphere where everyone is valued. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for excellent patient and client care.
We are a full service, AAHA accredited hospital where patient and client care is our top priority. All of our team members are either veterinarians or certified veterinary technicians. Our staff is cross trained in every aspect of the hospital, from answering phones and greeting clients to inducing and monitoring anesthesia. Our technicians are highly leveraged. If you are looking for a place where you can put your knowledge and skills to work, then this may be the place for you!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Venipuncture
• Catheter placement
• Radiology
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Physical examinations and patient assessment
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Dentistry
• Laboratory work
• Pharmacy
• Patient recovery
• Compassionate care for hospitalized patients
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have documented previous experience
• CVT license a plus, but not required
• Must have surgery experience
• Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays
• Customer service skills
• Working knowledge of computers
• Excellent communications skills
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
