The City of Sterling Heights is seeking a part-time HUD Program Coordinator that is effective and committed to making a positive impact on the City!

The part-time HUD Program Coordinator is eligible to receive a top of the market compensation starting $28.9333/hour and a generous schedule of paid time off (PTO).

Position Summary

Under supervision of the City Development Director and full-time HUD Program Coordinator, the part-time HUD Program Coordinator provides oversight and ongoing administration of established Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs. The part-time HUD Program Coordinator Initiates new program development and outreach activities that align with overall objectives of the CDBG program and applies expertise within the core functions, including required reporting and filing of all State and Federal reports. The part time HUD Program Coordinator may assist and serve as the liaison to the Citizens Advisory Committee and Housing Commission. As this is a federal grant funded position, it will be maintained only as long as CDBG funds allow.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public or Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university with specific coursework in community development.
  • One year of experience in a community development department, human services agency, or similar government agency concerned with state or federal contract administration.
  • Previous experience in administering Community Development Block Grant programs is highly preferred.
